Got a question?Hop across the Channel to jazz up autumn with a visit to the fortnight long Tourcoing Jazz Festival, 15 – 29 October.
Trumpet legend Ibrahim Maalouf has the honour of opening the 25th anniversary event. Two weeks and more than 30 bands later the sax’ colossus Sonny Rollins brings the festival to a close.
Performances take place at a variety of venues, from grand theatres to smaller clubs. In festival spirit, many admissions prices are just a couple of euros, or even free of charge.
Tourcoing is a 90 minute drive from Calais, which is served by P&O Ferries from Dover with a choice of 23 return crossings daily, and fares from £39 return for a car and passengers.
