Got a question?Dover charity Pegasus Playscheme has received a donation of £1,000 from staff at P&O Ferries.
The cash was donated by the company’s social club members under the Charities of the Year scheme that benefits local causes. It will help with running costs for the Pegasus Playscheme, which provides a three-week outings and activities programme to more than 60 disabled youngsters from the local area. The scheme is staffed entirely by volunteers, with local teenagers providing one-to-one support to the youngsters during the programme.
Staff at P&O Ferries hold an annual vote for two Kent charities to benefit from the social club’s fundraising efforts. This year the beneficiaries are Pegasus Playscheme and Kent Kids (Strode Park Foundation) at Canterbury.
