Got a question?Staff at P&O Ferries in Dover have donated £1,000 to the Pilgrims Hospices at Canterbury and Thanet in Kent.
The charity was selected by staff to benefit from funds raised under the company’s Charities of the Year scheme. The lump sum was raised from membership fees and activities run by the social club during the past year. Social club committee members Neil George and Michelle Ulyatt visited the hospice at Canterbury to hand over the cash on behalf of colleagues at the ferry company.
In a recent vote, staff selected the Pegasus Playscheme in Dover and Kent Kids (Strode Park Foundation) at Canterbury as the company’s 2011 Charities of the Year.
