Helping keep children healthy

P&O Ferries is a long-standing sponsor of the award winning Kent Walking Bus scheme that organises chaperones for thousands of children across the county so that they can walk to school safely. The children get fitter and the number of cars on the school run is dramatically reduced.

The scheme has been so successful that it is has won a Green Apple Environment Award, a Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service, and is widely acclaimed as a role model for the rest of the country.
