The mountains of Austria are to be celebrated in a festival of film, kicking off next week.
The International Mountain and Adventure Film Festival will attract climbers, ski and snowboard fanatics from around the continent. It takes place in Graz at the Grazer Congress from November 7th to 10th, with tickets ranging from €7 to €20.
Screenings take place at various cinemas around the Grazer Congress, and while attendees are not watching films, they can make the most of the mountains Austria has to offer, which are very popular at this time of year.
Films being shown will depict climbers and mountaineers being pushed to the limit as they scale incredible backdrops. Various categories of film will be shown, including those focusing on the environment, documentaries and foreign culture. The content comes from Norway, Austria, France, the UK and Spain, among others.
And the best film will be awarded the Grand Prix Graz trophy along with a cash prize.
