Well, this August they will be celebrating the ubiquitous cooking ingredient at a special festival in Lautrec.
In a bid to get everyone involved, the town prepares a huge vat of soup made from the local speciality ingredient l'ail rose - the pink garlic.
A competition is also held, during which entrants battle to see who can bind bunches of garlic the most beautifully.
Long strings of garlic are also made, with competitors fighting to see who can make the longest string of the cooking ingredient in the shortest time.
During the festival, there are also a number of stalls selling local specialities and, of course, cloves of garlic.
According to the festival's official website, l'ail rose is recognised by its "remarkable" taste which is "sweet and subtle".
Even used in small quantities, the local speciality gives a unique flavour to all dishes, the site claims.
