Indiana Jones prefers Spain

Across the UK, cinema-goers waiting for Indiana Jones are to be shown a 20-second film promoting the benefits of a holiday in the Costa Blanca.

TypicallySpanish.com reports that the ad - which features images of golfers, a theme park and scenery from the area - will be shown in 1,421 British cinemas.

As well as some of the sights that can be seen in the Costa Blanca, the advert's emphasis is on the temperature of the region, with frequent shots of thermometers showing the temperature at 70 degrees Fahrenheit.

The advert promises that those visiting the area will receive "a warm welcome".

In total, the advertising campaign cost around 210,000 euros (£167,000) to produce and market and areas in London, Scotland, Lancashire and the Midlands will be targeted.

The film will be shown 99,000 times in all, the site reports.

Benidorm, Altea, Calpe and Villajoyosa are all popular holiday destinations with Britons visiting the area.
