The Coast
Bordering with the North Sea and Wadden Sea, Holland has hundreds of kilometres of great coast – a perfect place to enjoy the sun, explore nature and have a great seafood dinner. Visit Callantsoog, a beautiful and peaceful beach resort or Ameland, perfect for family holidays. If you enjoy cycling then the Dutch coast is perfect, you can start in Den Helder in the North of Holland and end in Sluis in the South. During low tide, why not walk to one the Wadden Islands. Culture
Cheese, clogs, windmills, van Gogh and tulips are some of the famous icons of Dutch culture. Holland has much more to offer with many museums offering special exhibitions. For contemporary art, architecture, visual culture an design, visit the Rotterdam museums, Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, The Netherlands Architecture Institute or Nederlands Fotomuseum. . Other museums you should visit are Stichting Rijksmuseum Muiderslot, Amsterdam Historical Museum, War and Resistance Museum Overloon (a 35 acre park on the site of one of the fiercest tank battles of World War 2 and Kroller-Muller Museum in Lower Rhine with its extensive collection of works by Van Gogh.

Parks and Gardens
The best parks and gardens to visit in Holland are Keukenhof (open March to May), Veluwe National Park, Holland’s first and largest park perfect for cycling and walking, Muiden Castle Gardens, Het Loo Palace a previous summer residence for the Royal Family and Mondo Verde, the Gardens of the World.

Regional Highlights
Each region of Holland has its own identity and uniqueness. Visit the Cheese Market at Alkmaar hosting markets since 1635, or go boating in Giethoorn, one of the most beautiful parks in Holland or sailing in Friesland. You can kayak on the Meuse and soak up the unspoilt nature of South Limburg or step into the 18th century and visit Zaanse Schans Village.
