Chill out in Rotterdam
Rotterdam is the leading Festival City. There is something for everyone. The North Sea Jazz Festival is the world’s biggest jazz festival and will take place again from 9 to 11 July. Prior to and during the jazz festival in Ahoy there will be over 150 (mostly free) concerts throughout the city. Or experience the multicultural side of Rotterdam during the largest summer party in Europe! At least a million visitors enjoy this two-day Caribbean Carnival every year, dancing to Latin music in the city centre of Rotterdam and looking at the colourful costumes and floats in the massive street parade!

Make new friends in Rotterdam
Enjoy the ‘Manhattan-esque’ skyline, which includes the iconic Swan Bridge and the Euromast, while having a romantic dinner at Hotel New York in the Cruise Terminal. Make new friends in one of the many pubs in the Witte de Withstraat, amongst which ‘De Witte Aap’, voted best bar by Lonely Planet. See things differently
Discover Rotterdam via the water taxi network that links the southern part of Rotterdam with the northern banks of the river Maas. The classic water taxis operate between Hotel New York, the Leuvehaven and the Veerhaven, to a fixed timetable. On Sunday 22 August Rotterdam will host the Bavaria City Racing. See Formula 1 demonstrations and other huge racing hits in actions on the right in the city centre. And don’t miss the Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, which has world-class collections of old masters, modern and contemporary art, applied arts and design.

- Cube Houses (Kijk-Kubus): Visit the famous Cube Houses, fully furnished museum homes in the Blaakse Bos.
- Splash Tours: Hop onto the hypermodern amphibious bus and take in the city’s most beautiful sights.

- Euromast: Real dare-devils can abseil down the Euromast, the highest observation tower in Holland with a height of 185 meters.
