Chill out in The Hague
The Hague is a great place for shopping! Set amongst The Hague’s ancient streets, you will find many shops ranging from upmarket boutiques to high street shops, art galleries, antiques and interior design stores. Only a short tram ride away you will find the popular seaside resort Scheveningen. The beach and the dunes have plenty to offer sport enthusiasts, such as sailing, (kite) surfing and diving. During August spectacular firework shows will take place at the International Fireworks Festival.

Make new friends in The Hague
It is the perfect place to get outdoors in the heart of a city. With its many large squares, The Hague is a great place to enjoy Holland’s famous outdoor café culture. For a spot of celebrity spotting visit the Plein square and you might come across some Dutch ministers enjoying lunch or drinks after work. Or head down to Crazy Piano’s, the beach bar where every evening an amazing live pianist will play anything from classical sing-alongs to crazy American rock and roll.

See things differently
For more than 55 years Madurodam has been the smallest city in Holland. Canals, gabled houses and all kinds of other typical Dutch scenes: the miniature city offers you the highlights of Holland on a scale 1:25. For a view of life in 1881, visit Panorama Mesdag, a cylindrical painting more than 14 metres high and 120 metres in circumference with a surface of 1680 square metres, the biggest in Holland. And surfers can now stay overnight in sea containers at the unique surfer’s village F.A.S.T. (Free Architecture Surf Terrain), right on the beach.
